Gorski Kotar · Signature seven-day journey

Forests and Lakes Above the Sea

From €4,990 per person

Experience Gorski Kotar through a seven-day journey connecting its forests, lakes, rivers and protected mountain landscapes with the islands and clear waters of Kvarner. Forests and Lakes Above the Sea combines two Premium E-MTB experiences, the lakes of Fužine and Lokve, Golubinjak Forest Park, Risnjak National Park, Zeleni Vir and Vražji Prolaz, Kamačnik and a full private boating experience from the island of Krk. The journey uses two carefully selected accommodation bases — four nights in the Fužine / Lokve area and two nights on Krk — creating a natural progression from Croatia’s forested mountain interior towards the Adriatic.

The journey

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Gorski Kotar

Private arrival transfer to the Fužine / Lokve area, check-in and a relaxed introduction to Fužine and its lake landscape before a carefully selected regional welcome dinner.

  2. Day 2

Lokvarsko Lake, Golubinjak & Deep Forest E-MTB

Explore the forests and lake landscapes surrounding Lokve using Premium Full-Suspension E-MTBs, continuing towards Golubinjak Forest Park and an Adrion Forest Picnic.

  3. Day 3

    Risnjak National Park E-MTB

The second cycling experience moves deeper into Gorski Kotar, exploring the protected mountain forests and wilderness landscapes of Risnjak National Park before returning for a regional dinner.

  4. Day 4

    Zeleni Vir & Vražji Prolaz

Discover a different side of Gorski Kotar through a guided nature experience combining the waterfall and forest environment of Zeleni Vir with the dramatic canyon landscape of Vražji Prolaz.

  5. Day 5

Kamačnik & the Journey to Krk

Follow the Kamačnik through its forested river landscape before leaving Gorski Kotar and travelling towards the Adriatic. Cross to Krk, check into the second accommodation base and enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the sea.

  6. Day 6

    Private Kvarner Island Experience

Depart from Krk by private boat for a full day exploring selected islands, coastlines and secluded bays of Kvarner, with swimming, snorkeling and a carefully selected lunch before returning to Krk for a Signature farewell dinner.

  7. Day 7

    Krk & Departure

Enjoy a relaxed final morning on the island, with time for swimming or a selected experience in Krk Old Town or Vrbnik depending on departure timing, followed by a farewell lunch and private departure transfer.

Questions

Is this a private journey?

Yes — every departure is organised exclusively for the guests travelling together.

How demanding are Zeleni Vir and Vražji Prolaz?

The experience is adapted to current access conditions and the physical abilities of the guests, with a more active or more comfortable configuration selected rather than requiring every guest to complete the same route.

Is the private boat experience included?

Yes — a full private Kvarner island day with a professional skipper, departing from Krk. Depending on weather and sea state the route may include Plavnik, selected areas of the Cres coastline and remote swimming locations.

Why does the journey finish on Krk?

The transition is an intentional part of the journey rather than an extension: after the forests, lakes and rivers of Gorski Kotar, the final two nights introduce the Adriatic and island environment of Kvarner.
